Theenhausen is a district of Werther (Westphalia) in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Gütersloh . The predominantly rural area lies in the west and north-west of the city of Werther.

history

Theenhausen was reclassified from the Werther office to the new town of Werther as part of the implementation of the “Law for the reorganization of the communities and districts of the new structure of Bielefeld ( Bielefeld Law )” of October 24, 1972 with effect from January 1, 1973 . Some parcels were awarded to the surrounding towns of Borgholzhausen and Halle . Large parts of the border from Theenhausen also form the border with the state of Lower Saxony .
