Kita-hanare-iwa ( Japanese 北 は な れ 岩 'Northern solitary rock' ) is a small nunatak in Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . It rises on the northeastern foothills of the Queen Fabiola Mountains .
Japanese scientists made measurements in 1960 and naming in 1981.
