Adam Smelczyński (born September 14, 1930 in Częstochowa ) is a former Polish sports shooter in the trap .
successes
Adam Smelczyński took part in six Olympic Games . In 1956 he scored 190 points in Melbourne , with which he won the silver medal in second behind Galliano Rossini and in front of Alessandro Ciceri . In Rome he was seventh in 1960 , four years later he did not get past 32nd place. At the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City he succeeded in sixth again ranked among the top ten, which he in 1976 in Montreal could repeat. In between, he took eleventh place in Munich in 1972 . Smelczyński won his only medal at world championships in 1967 in Bologna with bronze. In 1972 and 1976 he became European champion.
