Kita Zima ( transcription from Japanese 北島 'North Island' ) is an island off the Prince Harald Coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is the northeasternmost island in the Flatvær archipelago .

Norwegian cartographers mapped them in 1946 using aerial photographs of the Lars Christensen Expedition in 1936/37 . Japanese scientists re-mapped it based on surveys made in 1957 and named it in 1972.
