Kite sailing
Kitesailing is called sailing with a stunt kite .
history
After an Englishman named George Pocock sailed for the first time with a steerable bow kite and a carriage , the Charvolant, at 30 km / h in 1826 , this type of locomotion was quickly forgotten again.
development
It wasn't until 1990 that Peter Lynn developed the first kite buggy . Thus kitesailing was born and it quickly developed and spread worldwide. The French then came up with the idea of getting on the water with the kite and surfboard and invented kitesurfing . So more and more variants of kite sailing were added.
Forms known today
Driving a buggy is one of the classic variants. The buggy, or officially Parakart , can be used in different ways . For example, runners , skis or floats can be mounted instead of the wheels and make driving regardless of the season .
A boom can currently be observed in kitesurfing. Well-known athletes such as Robby Naish share the enthusiasm for this sport .
