Kittersburg is a municipality near Goldscheuer , a district of Kehl in Baden-Württemberg .

Kittersburg is one of three settlements that, together with Goldscheuer and Marlen, have formed a politically common, but geographically separate, three-person community for centuries. It is a loosely built, clustered village . A residential area has newly developed in its west.

history

The oldest mention of Kittersburg as "Kuterschburg" can be found in a copy book from the 15th century. The document reproduced there dates to 1283. Kittersburg was a condominium on which the Lords of Lichtenberg owned ¼ as an allod . How this share was acquired is unknown. Around 1330 there was a first division of land between Johann II. Von Lichtenberg , from the older line of the house, and Ludwig III. from Lichtenberg . The Lichtenberg share in Kittersburg fell into the part of the property that was managed by the older line in the future. He was assigned to the office of Willstätt of the Lichtenberg rule .

With the death of Count Jakob von Lichtenberg , the last male member of the House of Lichtenberg , the office of Willstätt went to the two heirs, Count Philipp I the Elder of Hanau-Babenhausen (* 1417, † 1480) and Simon , initially as a condominium IV.
