Kjell Ola Dahl (born February 4, 1958 in Gjøvik ) is a Norwegian writer. Dahl mainly writes crime fiction.

Dahl is a two-time winner of the Norwegian Riverton Prize . In 2000 Dahl was honored for his book En liten gyllen ring (dt. Sommernachtstod ) and in 2015 for the crime novel Kureren , for which he also received a Brageprisen in 2015 .

A playlist was published for the German translation of Isbaderen , Die Kommissarin und der Tote vom Fjord : 115 songs that the characters hear, as single tracks or albums, add up to eight hours of listening time.
