Cladeos (mythology)
Kladeos ( ancient Greek Κλάδεος ) is in Greek mythology, the river god of the same name, at Olympia in the Alpheios opens river .
Pausanias reports that Kladeos was the second most venerated river god of Elis , just after Alpheios . In the sanctuary of Zeus behind the Heraion there was next to the altar of Artemis also an altar of Kladeos, a statue of him was also in the outermost corner of the pediment in the east gable of the temple of Zeus .
