history
In 1899, Friedrich Kraus (from Frankenthal ) founded a woodworking company in Memel . The share capital was 250,000 brands. Kraus was the patent holder of a cutter head for cutting veneer . On December 14, 1992, Akcinė bendrovė "Klaipėdos mediena" was registered. In 2000 "Klaipėdos mediena" employed 1,477 people.
