Klammsee

The Klammsee is a reservoir and is located in the municipality of Kaprun in the state of Salzburg in Austria .

The Klammsee is a day storage facility with a volume of 200,000 m³ and is part of the Kaprun power plant . The dam Bürgsperre with a height of 19 m accumulates the Kapruner Ache and collects water from the Kapruner valley, which is not detected in the main stage of the power plant. Commissioning took place in 1947.

The Sigmund-Thun-Gorge lies below the barrier .
