Klammstrasse (Garmisch-Partenkirchen)
The Klammstrasse development area in Garmisch comprises several historic streets in the Upper Bavarian market of Garmisch-Partenkirchen . Parts of the streets Klammstraße, Höllentalstraße and Schmiedstraße are an ensemble on the basis of the Monument Protection Act of October 1, 1973, the file number is E-1-80-117-4.

The ensemble includes part of the northern Klammstrasse as well as the eastern Höllentalstrasse and Schmiedstrasse. The streets and alleys are perpendicular to each other on the southern edge of the historic center of Garmisch and have often loosely strung and gable constantly standing on the street Werdenfelser farmhouses. However, these buildings are only partially used as farmhouses. The associated house gardens have been partially preserved. Only the west side of Klammstraße has retained its historical character up to the confluence with Höllentalstraße. The east side of the street was destroyed from the perspective of the monument protection by new buildings without scale . Klammstraße only belongs to the ensemble with the group of important Werdenfels farmhouses No. 11–17a. These also form the eastern end of Höllentalstraße. Due to the facing gables, Höllentalstraße has a largely closed street space. The short Schmiedstrasse runs in a north-south direction and is built on with farms and craftsmen's houses from the 17th to the early 19th century. The buildings on Schmiedstrasse are marked with characteristic Werdenfelser Bundwerke and Lüftlmalereien . An ancient log building, Schmiedstrasse 10, and the gabled house at Höllentalstrasse 9 form an effective urban development to the south. From the north, the baroque tower of the parish church towers over the image of the alley.
