Klara Klotz , born as Klara Charlotte Kunigunde Einbeck (born October 31, 1878 in Dresden ; † April 21, 1965 in Schorndorf ), was a German politician of the Württemberg farmers and vineyard farmers' association. She was a member of the WBB parliamentary group in Württemberg .

Live and act

Klara Einbeck, born in Dresden in October 1878, was the daughter of the engineer and factory director Johannes Einbeck and his wife Marie Afinger. On January 21, 1901, she married the son of a machine manufacturer and first lieutenant from Stuttgart in Berlin . Württ. Artillery Regiment No. 72 Eugen Klotz and moved with him to his hometown Stuttgart. Her daughters Dorothea (* 1903) and Ilse (* 1906) were born there.

It is unclear when Klara Klotz began her political engagement. She was a member of the Württemberg farmers' union (WBB). This party emerged from the original farmers and wine-growers' association, which was founded around 1890, was conservative and mainly represented professional interests. After 1918 the WBB joined the citizens' party . In the Weimar Republic this was a special Württemberg form of the nationwide German national people's party, the DNVP .

Klara Klotz was the only woman who ever belonged to the WBB parliamentary group in the state parliament of the Free People's State of Württemberg . From 1920 to 1924 and from 1931 to 1932 she held a mandate in the Württemberg state parliament. She received her second mandate on November 10, 1931, replacing the late MP Hermann Hiller .

In her parliamentary work she was involved in the economic and social fields. It stands out in the state parliament protocols due to numerous inquiries on these topics.

Nothing is known about Klara Klotz's further life. She died in April 1965 at the age of 86 in Schorndorf.
