Klaus-Dieter Völker

Klaus-Dieter Völker (born December 30, 1937 in Haan ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

education and profession

After completing elementary school , Völker trained as a silk weaver and worked in this profession from 1953 to 1961. He was then chairman of the works council until 1987. He then retrained and became an authorized signatory as a bank clerk .

politics

Völker, a member of the CDU since 1964, was a member of Haan's city council from 1964 to 1987. There he was chairman of the parliamentary group from 1966 to 1973. He has been a member of the Mettmann district council since 1969 and has been the parliamentary group leader without interruption since 1973.

Völker was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from 1970 to 1980, from 1990 to 1995 and from 1999 to 2000 . In the seventh and eighth electoral terms he entered the state parliament via a direct mandate (constituency Düsseldorf-Mettmann I), in the eleventh electoral period via the list position 56 on the state list of his party. On August 11, 1999, he succeeded in the state parliament.

Völker is married, has three children and lives in Haan.
