Klaus Buchheister

Klaus Buchheister (born February 18, 1934 in Burg (near Magdeburg) ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1990 to 1994 he was a member of the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament .

Education and life

Klaus Buchheister passed his Abitur at the Oberschule Genthin in 1952 and studied veterinary medicine at the Humboldt University in Berlin from 1953 to 1958. From 1984 to 1986 he trained as a specialist veterinarian at the Karl Marx University in Leipzig. From 1959 to 1961 he was a veterinarian in the fight against tuberculosis, from 1961 to 1987 a practical veterinarian and since 1987 hygiene veterinarian and head of the veterinary hygiene area Genthin / Havelberg.

Klaus Buchheister, who is of Protestant denomination, is married and has three sons.

Klaus Buchheister had been a member of the CDU since 1970. He was directly elected to the state parliament in the first state election in Saxony-Anhalt in 1990 in the state constituency of Genthin-Havelberg (WK 7). He is currently the mayor of Kemnitz .
