Klaus Düsing

Klaus Düsing (* 1940 ) is a German philosopher .

Life

He studied Philosophy, German and Classical Philology (especially Latin Studies ) at the Universities of Cologne and Zurich . After receiving his doctorate in 1967 as Dr. phil. at the University of Cologne and his habilitation in 1975 at the Ruhr University Bochum , he was a private lecturer from 1975 to 1980 , later professor in Bochum . From 1980 to 1983 he was a university professor at the University of Siegen . Since 1983 he has been a university professor at the University of Cologne.

His research areas are classical German philosophy from Kant to Hegel , ancient philosophy, modern subjectivity theories and practical philosophy.
