Klaus Eckhardt

Klaus Eckhardt (born August 15, 1949 in Bonn ; † June 7, 2012 near Gonia , Crete ) was a German author. He mainly wrote travel guides about Greece and Crete in particular, as well as several crime novels set in Crete .

biography

Eckhardt grew up in Witzenhausen . He began studying business administration at the University of Cologne , then trained as a bookseller and was managing director of a university bookstore for almost 20 years.

In the 1980s he wrote and hosted several programs for WDR . He also wrote numerous books, including travel guides, songbooks and cookbooks on the subject of Greece and Crete. He traveled regularly to Crete, which he regards as his second home. His crime novels are also set in Greece and Crete.

Klaus Eckhardt lived in Cologne and worked as a freelance IT application trainer.
