Klaus Eichenberg

Klaus Eichenberg (born August 2, 1936 in Dessau ) is a German surrealist draftsman and painter .

Life

Eichenberg completed his architecture studies in 1962 and then worked as an assistant at the chair for architecture at RWTH Aachen University in the specialist department for architecture, freehand drawing and watercolors . In 1970 he received his doctorate. Ing. With a dissertation on the building history of the 19th century. He became a member of the West German Artists Association . In 1973 he received the advancement award of the city of Aachen for painting. In 1974 he qualified as a professor at RWTH Aachen University on the basis of an artistic achievement recognized by the Faculty of Construction. In 1975 he became a lecturer there and, in 1980, professor of drawing and painting. During his tenure at RWTH Aachen University, he worked as a professor in the Faculty of Architecture. He retired on September 30, 2001 . His works are characterized by surrealist architectural portraits and landscapes.
