Klaus Groh (artist)

Klaus Groh (* 1936 in Neisse , Upper Silesia ) is a German artist and book author.

Life

Klaus Groh studied art education and art history and received his doctorate. phil. at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg with the topic “The new DaDaism on the American west coast” (Maro-Verlag, Augsburg). He has lived and worked in Oldenburg since 2017.

Groh headed the Micro Hall Art Center and the Kleinkunstbühne Literaturium from 1971 to 2006 and the IAC (International Artists' Cooperation) from 1969 to 1990. He was the editor of the IAC information sheet "IAC-INFO", a forerunner of many Mail Art Letters and today's network. Since 2003 he has been the head of the cultural program of the "Schlaraffia Oldenburgia" and founded the cabaret "Burg Uhlenhorst".
