Klaus Hofmann (born December 5, 1957 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Hofmann played 30 games in two seasons for Kickers Offenbach in the 2nd Bundesliga . In his first season he reached third place with his teammates. The third place in the table entitled to the relegation game against the third from bottom of the Bundesliga. Offenbach met Bayer 04 Leverkusen . Hofmann was used in the return game, both games were lost. He always played the full distance. In his second season, 1982/83 , Lothar Buchmann's team reached second place in the final table behind SV Waldhof Mannheim . The Kickers rose and Hofmann played in the Bundesliga the next season . Hofmann only played one game in the Bundesliga. In the 0: 6 defeat against Hamburger SV , he was substituted on in the 79th minute of the game. Offenbach was relegated as the penultimate.
