Klaus Kirchmayr (* 1963 ; resident in Aesch ) is a Swiss politician ( Greens ).

Life

Klaus Kirchmayr has lived in Aesch since his youth. He studied engineering at the ETH Zurich and economics at the University of Basel . From 1988 to 1994 he worked as a computer scientist and then until 1998 in a leading position in the finance department of the Swiss Bank Corporation . After its merger with UBS , he worked as a member of the executive board in the area of ​​international asset management at UBS. Since 2000 he has been working as a senior partner for MilleniumAssociates AG , which he co-founded and which advises companies around the world on acquisitions and mergers. Klaus Kirchmayr is married to the politician Christine Koch . They have three sons, one of whom Jan Kirchmayr is also active in politics.

Klaus Kirchmayr was elected to the district administrator of the canton of Basel-Landschaft in 2007 as a lateral entrant who had not previously held a political mandate . He has been a member of the Finance Commission since 2007 and was a member of the Justice and Security Commission from 2007 to 2015 and of the Interparliamentary Commission for Northwestern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences from 2008 to 2011.
