Klaus Louis Schmidt

Klaus Louis Schmidt (born August 29, 1936 in Treuen , Vogtland) is a German medic. His areas of expertise are rheumatology , physical medicine and balneology .

After completing his doctorate in 1963, Schmidt completed his habilitation in 1974 at the Justus Liebig University in Gießen, specializing in rheumatology and physical medicine. In 1980 he was appointed to the chair for rheumatology, physical medicine and balneology in Giessen as the successor to Victor Rudolf Ott . With the incorporation of the university clinic into the Foundation WG Kerckhoff Heart and Rheumatism Center, Schmidt also became the medical director of the Kerckhoff clinic . In 2001 he retired.
