Klaus Peter Söllner (born September 6, 1956 in Stadtsteinach ) is a German politician of the Free Voters (FW) and since May 1, 1996 district administrator of the district of Kulmbach .

Söllner attended the Stadtsteinach elementary school and the Markgraf-Georg-Friedrich-Gymnasium Kulmbach. There he graduated from high school in 1975 . He then studied law in Erlangen . He completed his legal traineeship at the Bamberg Higher Regional Court . In 1983 he passed his second state examination in law .

From 1983 to 1985 Söllner worked for the government of Upper Franconia . He then worked from 1985 to 1987 in the Wunsiedel district office in the Fichtelgebirge. Söllner now returned to the government of Upper Franconia and only acted as head of the public relations department from 1987 to 1990 and as head of the organization department from 1990 to 1996.

In addition, from 1990 to 1996 he held the office of First Mayor of Stadtsteinach. From there he moved after being in the municipal elections in 1996 in a runoff was 63.24% of the votes, to the post of chief administrative officer of the district Kulmbach. In 2002, 2008, 2014 and 2020 Söllner was confirmed in office in the first ballot.
