Klaus Plake

Klaus Plake (born July 19, 1944 ) is a former German university professor.

Plake completed a degree in sociology, economics and education at the University of Münster. His doctorate took place in Bielefeld in 1974 and his habilitation in 1981 at the University of Münster.

From 1974 to 1980 he was an academic advisor at the Rhineland University of Education. From 1978 to 1979 he was also a deputy professor at the University of Marburg .

Plake was finally appointed from 1981 to 2009 as a professor for the sociology of education with special consideration of socialization theory at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg.

Plake published numerous specialist books, including a. on television research, reform pedagogy and school theory.
