Klaus Schober
Klaus Schober (born October 15, 1937 in Stuttgart ; † March 8, 2013 ) was a German entrepreneur.
Life
Schober was the son of a tobacco goods wholesaler. In 1956 he joined the address publishing company founded by his brother Erwin. As a pioneer in direct marketing , he built the Schober Information Group into the leading company in dialogue marketing in Europe. In 1976, he initiated the entry into the European market with the establishment of Schober Switzerland. From 1985 to 1989 he was President of German Dialog Marketing (DDV). In May 2012 he withdrew from the operative business and handed over the management to his son Ulrich .
