Klaus Storde (born January 3, 1947 in Langenberg , Thuringia) is a German visual artist .

Live and act

Klaus Storde studied typography from 1969 to 1973 at the Technical School for Advertising and Design (FWG), Berlin-Oberschöneweide. After graduating as a qualified designer, he worked a. a. at Progress Film-Verleih . From 1978 he worked as a freelance graphic artist, mainly in poster design for galleries, film, television and theater. Storde received various awards for the best posters in the GDR . During this time he also turned to free artistic expressions. Works in the field of graphics, objects and installations were created and his exhibition activities began. Since 1992 he has regularly participated in plein airs and attended symposia at home and abroad. As a member of the AG Artists for Students of the Brandenburg Association of Visual Artists e. V., district of Barnim, he led art projects or designed workshops.

Klaus Stordes atelier with paper and printing workshop is located in Prenden (Barnim). The graphic artist has developed a broad repertoire of techniques and procedures. Different techniques such as drawings, woodcuts, works on cardboard and found paper, as well as his objects made of paper, wood or metal to conceptual projects and installations are characterized by a subtle precision.
