In the context of this course of study, the specialist journal “New Perspectives - Journal for Vocational Education and Training” was created, for which Döring was the publisher in 1990.

At the end of the 1990s, Döring developed his university teaching activities in international study exchanges - especially with China. In 1998 he made a teaching stay there with lectures and seminars at various Chinese universities.

Publications

Döring already dealt with professional teaching-learning interaction during his habilitation. The volume "Teacher behavior and teaching profession", which has been published in 10 editions since 1970, is considered to be the basic work in educational science teacher training. As one of the first German-language book contributions on the development of skills and the professionalization of trainers, lecturers and instructors, Döring published the volume “Teaching in adult education. A Lecturer's Guide ”. The basic work is structured in two synonymous parts, the first of which has been deliberately designed in a popular scientific manner in order to address the target group directly, while the second presents the same content in scientific language.
