Klaus Wallenstein

Klaus Wallenstein (* 1943 in Salzwedel ) is a German classical archaeologist and former functionary of the Marxist-Leninist Party of Germany .

Klaus Wallenstein studied Classical Archeology, Ancient History and Latin Philology at the Universities of Münster and Tübingen from 1963 to 1970 and received his doctorate in 1970 in Tübingen under Ulrich Hausmann . He then wrote two volumes for the Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum Germany on the holdings of the Antikensammlung of the University of Tübingen. He later changed his profession and worked as a pit electrician in the Niederberg colliery until he retired at the end of 2008 . He was a member of the Central Committee of the Marxist-Leninist Party of Germany (MLPD). In 2005, 2009 and 2013 he ran unsuccessfully as a direct candidate for the MLPD in the Bundestag constituency Krefeld II - Wesel II . He is a member of the Neukirchen-Vluyn city ​​council for the “NV-Auf geht's” electoral alliance , and has been parliamentary group chairman there since 2005.
