Klaus Peter Wolfrum (born December 5, 1947 in Münchberg ) is a German politician of the SPD . From 1998 to 2008 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .

Life

Klaus Wolfrum grew up in Helmbrechts and attended elementary school from 1954 to 1960 and middle school from 1960 to 1964 . He then trained as an electrician and then for two years as a radio and television mechanic. From 1971 to 1998 he was employed by the Deutsche Post (later Telekom) as a site manager. He is married and has 1 son.

politics

He became a member of the SPD in 1964 and has been district chairman within his party since 1986. He also acted today as regional policy spokesman for the Upper Franconia SPD. He has been a member of the city council of Helmbrechts since 1972 and of the district council of Hof since 1990 . From 1990 to 1999 he took over the post of deputy district administrator. From October 19, 1998 to September 2008, Klaus Wolfrum was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament for the SPD . He clearly won the direct mandate in his constituency of Hof. In this election, only 5 direct mandates went to SPD and 99 to CSU politicians. In parliament he sat in the committee for budget and finance. He was also a member of his parliamentary group's media working group . For the state elections in 2008 he was no longer up for election but wants to remain active in local politics.
