Klaus Zylla

Klaus Zylla (born September 23, 1953 in Cottbus ) is a German painter, graphic artist and illustrator.

Life

Klaus Zylla was born on September 23, 1953 in Cottbus. After graduating from the Polytechnic High School (POS), he learned the trade of a construction worker with a high school diploma in the Hoyerswerda Housing Combine . Work as a plasterer and subsequent military service with the NVA, from 1975 studies in the field of building material process engineering at the University of Architecture and Construction in Weimar until exmatriculation at his own request. From 1977 to 1980 he worked as a screen printer in the consumer advertising print shop in Berlin and studied from 1977 to 1980 first in evening classes, from 1980 directly at the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art until he was de-registered at his own request. From 1982 to 1984 he headed the screen printing workshop at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts.

From 1985 to 1990 he had his own screen printing workshop in Berlin.

Since 1990 Klaus Zylla has been working as a freelance artist with numerous solo exhibitions and participations in exhibitions in Germany, the USA, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland and Portugal and is represented in numerous collections.
