Klauspeter Bungert

Klauspeter Bungert (born May 23, 1954 in Trier ) is a German musician and author of plays, stories, essays and poems.

Life

Since 1975 Klauspeter Bungert has been working on plays that tie in with the traditions of psychological theater since Molière. Since then he has written over 40 pieces, the stage rights of which have been with Cantus-Theaterverlag since 2010. The first performances were in Innsbruck and Trier in 2018. A larger prose text was published by Verlag 28 Eichen in March and June 2015 and his drama work was completed in four volumes in book form. In 2018, what was probably the first German-language appraisal of Arthur Conan Doyle's prose work followed , in 2019 and 2020 an environmental-political drama pentalogy, a volume of poetry, a medical-critical novel, the new version of his monograph on the composer César Franck , an astrological study and several scores.

Bungert also deals with the Swiss poet Conrad Ferdinand Meyer in literary events and essays . In 2008 he published the first audio edition of Meyer's collected works on five MP3 CDs.

In addition to appearances as a pianist and organist in the Trier / Luxembourg region, he has recorded several solo CDs. In 2015 "The Piano Works of César Franck" (2015) was published - u. a. with Bungert's piano transcription of Franck's string quartet, of which he also composed a version for large orchestra.
