The phacelia viscida ( Phacelia viscida ) is a plant of the genus Phacelia in the family Boraginaceae (Boraginaceae).
features
The sticky phacelia is an annual plant that reaches heights of 10 to 80 centimeters. The calyx lobes are 3 to 4 millimeters long, at fruit time they reach 5 to 10 millimeters. The crown is bowl-shaped or almost wheel-shaped, colored white, blue or purple, 8 to 18 millimeters long and has a diameter of 15 to 25 millimeters. The stamens are sparsely hairy. The stylus are 5 to 15 millimeters long.
The flowering period extends from June to August.
Occurrence
The sticky phacelia occurs in California in open, dry locations at altitudes of up to 700 meters.
