from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Kleemühle is a former flour mill in the village of Wollmannsberg in the municipality of Altenfelden ( Rohrbach district , Upper Austria ). The existence of the mill has been documented since the end of the 14th century and is now run as a sawmill.

location

The Kleemühle is located in the valley of the Kleine Mühl on the Obermühler Landesstraße southwest of the village center of Wollmannsberg. To the east is the town of Mairhof , to the south the towns of Weigert and Graben , to the west the town of Obernort (both municipality of Lembach in the Mühlkreis ) and to the north the town of Doppl .

history

The existence of the Kleemühle has been documented since the end of the 14th century, although it was first mentioned in a document in 1397 in the Tannberger Urbar. At that time she had to do a monetary service to the Kirchberg rectory and was also obliged to work with the wood robot , whereby the annual donations result from the Tannberger Messstiftung and Beneficienstiftung to the pastor in Kirchberg. The clover mill was under the lordship of Pürnstein-Kirchberg II and consisted of a flour mill and a sawmill. In 1886 Johann Wöß, landlord in Altenfelden, bought the company, which has been family-owned ever since. The bread baking business had to be closed in 1944. For one thing, the business was no longer worth it, and two of the four sons had already died and one had been called up so that there were no more workers. The mill operation was subsequently stopped in 1956. The mill wing, which was located northeast of the residential wing, was demolished in 1988.

Sawmill

The old Kleemühle sawmill was originally located next to the road, south of the residential wing. The saw was driven by a water wheel until 1958, after which the sawmill was converted to a turbine drive and a full frame saw . In addition, the saw was relocated to its current location, north of the house. Further modernization steps were the construction of a planing mill in 1967 and the conversion to an Esterer full creel in 1985.
