Klein Laasch is a district of the town of Neustadt-Glewe in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

Geography and transport links

The place is about 2.5 kilometers south of Neustadt city center and seven kilometers northeast of Ludwigslust on the river Elde . A tributary known as Alte Elde branches off from this east of the village . To the west and south of the built-up area there is a forest area, a little outside on the road to Groß Laasch there is a pig fattening facility. The terrain within the village is about 35 meters above sea level.

District road 38 leads through the village from Neustadt-Glewe to Groß Laasch. The road bridge over the Elde is only accessible from one side. After 1990, a wooden bridge for pedestrians and cyclists was built parallel to the road bridge. Klein Laasch can be reached several times a day from Neustadt-Glewe and Ludwigslust via a bus connection.

history

Klein Laasch was first mentioned in a document in 1333. Around 1837 nine farmers, three Büdner , a school and 143 residents are mentioned. At the time there was a drawbridge over the Elde. On July 1, 1950, the previously independent community of Klein Laasch became a district of the Neuhof community, and from November 1, 1968, a district of the Brenz community . Since January 1st, 1974 the village belongs to the city of Neustadt-Glewe.

Attractions

At a bend in the main street there is a memorial to those who fell in the First World War. Furthermore, a hall house and a residential building in the street Eldeufer as well as the forester's yard with residential building and wooden shed in the main street are under monument protection.
