The Kleine Halken 2 was a listed residential building in Aschersleben in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It was located in the southern part of the city center of Aschersleber, south of the Sankt-Stephani-Kirche , on the south side of the narrow street Kleiner Halken, which is designated as a monument area . To the east was the plot of land at Kleiner Halken 3 , which was also originally designated as a monument .

History and architecture

The main parts of the two-storey house were built in the 16th and 19th centuries. The massive building was considered impressive in its original proportions. Particularly noteworthy was an ancient cornice .

After a long period of vacancy and the deterioration of the structure, the building was demolished with the exception of smaller remains at the beginning of the 21st century. In particular, the lower parts of the street-side house wall were preserved.

In the local register of monuments , the house was recorded as a monument under registration number 094 80502 . After the building was largely demolished, it was removed from the list of monuments in 2017.
