The Kleiner Werth 17 property is a villa in the Oberbarmen-Schwarzbach residential area of Wuppertal in the Barmen district .

Building description

The two-storey villa with a gable roof is designed on five axes to the front, the street Kleiner Werth . The building is accessed via an eight-step, single-flight external staircase in the middle axis of the front side. The plaster facade is structured in a classical style .

history

The villa was built in 1861 for HC Hoesch. It was later acquired by Adolf Vorwerk , who expanded his Vorwerk & Sohn manufacturing company on the opposite site from Kohlgartenstrasse to Kleine Werth .

The villa, including the front garden with the outside staircase, was entered on December 6, 1990 as a monument in the list of monuments of the city of Wuppertal.
