The small town heroes were a Founded in 2004, German pop-rock - band .
history
The small town heroes were founded as a trio by Simon Lam, Max Krämer and Nici Kapsalis in Osterholz-Scharmbeck . After a few concerts, Felix Weidenhöfer was joined by a second guitarist, and concerts throughout Germany and an EP followed. In 2007 Nici Kapsalis left the band and was replaced by Nils Freesemann. In 2008, before the release of her debut album Resignation and Stand Up , Max Krämer also left the small town heroes. He was later replaced by Uli Wortmann, the producer of the small town heroes. The band performed with Silbermond , Nena and the New Model Army , among others . On September 10, 2010 the band released their second studio album Osterholz-Scharmbeck . The first single from the new album, the song Indie Boys , was released on August 27, 2010 . On October 1st, 2010 the band represented the state of Bremen in the context of the Bundesvision Song Contest 2010 in Berlin and together with the recorder of death from Saxony came 11th place with 20 points. In 2011 they could be heard as the opening act on Lena Meyer-Landrut's tour in six appearances.
The band announced their breakup in 2013; the last concert took place on November 30, 2013 in Bremen.
