Small livestock

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

For small animals include farm animals ( cattle ) as sheep , goats , rabbits and poultry intended for agricultural use, such as production of milk , eggs , wool or slaughter animals serve. Sheep and goats are grouped together with domestic pigs , recently also with so-called camelids (including lama ), also under the term medium cattle .

A distinction is made between other small animals such as dogs and cats , which are considered pets , and pets such as guinea pigs , reptiles and fish , which are kept for pleasure.

The widespread expression “small cattle also make crap” expresses that even smaller or less important things can bring a certain (larger) yield.
