Clitias
Klitias ( Greek Κλειτίας , sometimes also called Kleitias ) was an Attic black-figure vase painter, active around 570-560 BC. In Athens . Five vases from him that bear his signature as a painter have been preserved, four of which also bear the signature of the potter Ergotimos . Further vases are assigned to him for stylistic reasons. With the François vase , the two craftsmen together created what is probably the most famous painted ancient Greek ceramic vase.
