Bettina Kreuzer

Bettina Kreuzer (born November 20, 1960 in Munich ) is a German classical archaeologist .

Bettina cruiser put her high school diploma in 1980 at the Von-Müller-Gymnasium in Regensburg and started in the same year a study of Classical Archeology, Prehistory and Ancient History at the University of Würzburg and later at the University of Freiburg . In 1987 she obtained her master's degree with her thesis The Attic and Attizing Ceramics from Klazomenai , followed by a doctorate in 1991 with a dissertation on the subject of Attic black-figure ceramics from the Heraion of Samos at the University of Freiburg. In 1992/93 she was in charge of the exhibition and the accompanying catalog, Early Drawers. 1500-500 BC BC Egyptian, Greek and Etruscan vase fragments from the HA Cahn collection , Basel . From 1993 to 1995 she worked on behalf of the German Archaeological Institute The red-figure ceramics and the Panathenaic price amphoras from the Heraion of Samos . In 1998/99, Kreuzer did research on the subject in the service of the police as a scholarship holder of the Gerda Henkel Foundation . The habilitation of the same name resulted from the first work in 2003 at the University of Freiburg, since then she has taught as a private lecturer . In 2007/08 she worked on Greek and Roman ceramics at the Roemer and Pelizaeus Museum in Hildesheim . In 2013 Kreuzer was appointed adjunct professor at the University of Freiburg.

Kreuzer's main research interests are in Greek ceramics , where she researches the attribution of painters and iconology . It is dedicated to the Attic owl vases and the relationship between Attic and Boeotian ceramics in the early 6th century BC. For the Staatliche Antikensammlungen in Munich she worked on the black-figure hydrates as part of the Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum Germany .
