Ernst Ogris (born December 9, 1967 in Vienna ; † March 30, 2017 there ) was an Austrian football player .

Career

The younger brother of Austria-Wien legend Andreas Ogris played alongside his brother in the Veilchen Bundesliga in 1986 , but was awarded to VSE St. Pölten in spring 1988 . After two years in St. Pölten, Ernst Ogris came to FC Admira / Wacker in the southern part of the city . With the Admirans he played in the ÖFB Cup final and was used in some European Cup games, after which he was also appointed to the national team by team boss Alfred Riedl . In his only international match against Denmark in Odense (1: 2) on June 5, 1991, he also scored a goal. In 1993 he was signed by Hertha BSC . He scored seven goals in 21 second division games in his first season. In the winter of 1994/95 he returned to Austria and played until the end of the season with Admira / Wacker and since then with several small Viennese clubs, most recently in the season 2008/09 with KSC / FCB Donaustadt. In between there was also (1999/2000) an engagement in the regional league center at FC St. Veit . From 2008 to 2010 he was a coach at SV Donau in the Vienna City League and after relegation in the Vienna Oberliga B. From the 2012/2013 season he coached the Weinviertel amateur club SV Göllersdorf.

From October 22, 2012 he was coach of FC Kapellerfeld in the Vienna Oberliga B. After previously coaching SPC Helfort Vienna , he was coach of SV Eichgraben until his death .

death

Ogris died on March 30, 2017 at the age of 49 in the Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Spital , after being put into an artificial coma after a virus infection . He was buried at the Stammersdorfer Zentralfriedhof .
