Klettwitz-Sonnenhäusel was a motor and autocross track in Brandenburg , it was located two kilometers east of Klettwitz north of the Krügers Mühle location . However, the route had to give way to the EuroSpeedway Lausitz at the end of the 1990s . Today the Dekra technology center and the main gate to the EuroSpeedway Lausitz are located in the same place .

history

The Sonnenhäusel motocross course was built at the beginning of the 1970s on the edge of the newly developed Meuro opencast mine . Its name Sonnenhäusel goes back to the Meuro settlement of the same name , which was previously devastated for opencast mining in 1971 .

The Klettwitz-Sonnenhäusel racetrack was operated by MC BKK Senftenberg until the mid-1990s, and the enduro DDR championship "All about lignite" from 1974 to 1990 took place every October . Autocross races have also been organized since the late 1980s . The Sonnenhäusel racetrack had to give way to the Lausitz-Ring, and it was promised that the Sonnenhäusel racetrack would be rebuilt. After ten years, the promise was kept. The route was completed on October 14, 2011 and has been open again since spring 2012.
