The Kleusberg GmbH & Co. KG is a company of manufacturing Kleusberg Holding, the modular construction systems and indoor offices. The pan-European group of companies employs over 950 people at six locations in Germany. Kleusberg has been family-owned since it was founded in 1948. The company achieved a total output of € 272 million in 2019.

history

The development of the company began in 1948 with the establishment of a joinery and cabinet maker in Morsbach (North Rhine-Westphalia). The company produced furniture, exterior doors and, later, stairs. From the 1960s onwards, the company built functional buildings, produced construction site vehicles and wooden structures for construction companies.

At the beginning of the 1970s, Kleusberg constructed the first functional buildings for commercial customers and public clients. The first office containers were developed and produced during the same period.

After the capacity of the premises in Morsbach was no longer sufficient, the company built a first production hall in the neighboring municipality of Wissen (Rhineland-Palatinate), the foundation stone of which was laid in 1972. In the course of the 1980s, Kleusberg built several production halls with a total of 20,500 m² of production space.

In 1992 Kleusberg acquired a company from the Treuhand in Dölbau near Halle / Saale (Saxony-Anhalt). A factory with 16,300 m² of production area for the construction of modular and system buildings was built there in 1994. The Dölbau plant (today Kabelsketal-Dölbau) has meanwhile become Kleusberg's main production site.

Since the mid-1990s, the manufacture and sale of hall offices, master cabins, partition wall systems and enclosures has been added as the Trendline indoor space solution .

Since 2013, the company has been increasingly relying on in-house training and, in Wissen, has opened a new training center.

In 2016 Kleusberg expanded its headquarters in Wissen (on the Sieg) by 12,000 m². The production area there covers 20,500 m².

In order to further expand the rental business in the region, Kleusberg bought a further 200,000 m² of land in the area around Kabelsketal, Gröbers district. In this context, a new hall of around 13,300 m² and around 60,000 m² of paved storage space for the preparation and handling of mobile rental buildings was created.

Divisions

Modular building

The core business is building with industrially prefabricated room modules in standardized sizes. The room modules consist of steel frame constructions that are filled with drywall. The areas of application are office and administration buildings, schools, kindergartens, medical buildings, nursing homes and residential accommodation.

Mobile rental buildings

Mobile rental buildings are room units that are connected to one another and enable free room division. The room units consist of a self-supporting steel frame construction and are prefabricated in the factory. The areas of application are interim and construction site offices, residential accommodation, schools and day-care centers. This system is designed for use for rent for up to 48 months and allows up to three floors.

ModuLine

ModuLine represents the building solution on a long-term rental basis. Here, too, it is a steel frame structure that is filled with drywall. In contrast to modular construction, ModuLine works on the modular principle with fixed module types.

Hall installations and offices

With the name Trendline , a modular system was developed from individual walls that can be combined as required. This system is intended for use in factories. With the system, up to 3-storey buildings can be built house in house, free-standing or with up to 3-sided wall connection.
