Nassanger is an estate in the Trieb district of the city of Lichtenfels in the district of the same name in Bavaria .

history

There is evidence of a manor there since the 16th century. The current building was built in 1693 under the Langheim abbot Gallus Knauer according to plans by the builder Leonhard Dientzenhofer . The estate included a brick hut, a large stone barn and a bakery . In 1805 Nassanger came into private ownership.

In 1818 Nassanger was merged with Trieb and Karolinenhöhe to form one municipality.

description

As a farm on a ring-shaped floor plan, with a large pile of dung in the middle, the facility represents an unusual architectural experiment. Up until the 19th century it was surrounded by a wide moat . According to local traditions, the twelve courtyard doors and the once allegedly 365 windows are said to be related to the calendar.
