Klingenberg source

Exit of the spring water

The Klingenberg source is located on the Rhume - Leine adventure trail in Katlenburg-Lindau in Lower Saxony . The source has a daily output of around 20,000 liters. The water contained in an underground spring emerges through a pipe. The square on the bike path between Mordmühle and Bilshausen is surrounded by tall trees.

The refugees housed in the barracks of the Lindau Institute after the Second World War used the Klingenberg spring for water supply. During a renovation in 2011, the source area was redesigned with a concrete foundation and sandstone paving, planted and furnished with seating. The spring water, which previously flowed directly into the rooms from a pipe, has since been channeled through an artificial watercourse.

A plaque above the water outlet commemorates the inauguration in 2011.
