Klirr Faktor is a band from Duisburg , which had success with electronic, German-language synth-pop music from 1998 to 2001 .

history

In 1998 the trained musical singer Carsten Willems (vocals, lyrics) and Mike Hauptmann (synthesizer, composition) formed the German electro project Klirr Faktor . Klir Faktor's songs are characterized by undistorted, melody-emphasized singing, bombastic synth pads with danceable beats and ironic, both socially and media-critical, German-language texts.

For her acclaimed by critics debut plastic worked THD with the successful indie - and Techno - producer Olaf Wollschläger in the studio of the former independent labels Bloodline in Neuss together. In addition to her single ... Until the doctor comes , her cover version of the NDW hit Zauberstab von ZaZa , which was subsequently picked up again by other bands, became a club success .

In the years 1999 to 2001 tours in Germany , Austria and Switzerland followed, among others as the opening act for Cat Rapes Dog and Funker Vogt , as well as appearances at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen 2001, various other festivals and a performance as part of a friendly game between the Wuppertaler SV Borussia and VfB Stuttgart in the Wuppertal Zoo Stadium, where Unheilig appeared as support for distortion factor.
