Melotron is a band from Neubrandenburg that has been making electronic, German-language synth-pop music since 1991 .
Band history
The founding members Andy Krüger (vocals / composition), Edgar Slatnow (synthesizer / texts) and Kay Hildebrandt (synthesizer / production) have built up a growing fan base over the years. The original band name was The Vermin, which later no longer matched the purely German lyrics and was changed to Melotron with the first CD. The amazing thing is that the majority of their fans now come from abroad. The assumption that the German language in music texts is a regional phenomenon, Melotron impressively refute on extensive tours of Europe and America .
In terms of production technology, Melotron rely on longevity. So they work since her debut album Killer work with the successful indie - and Techno - producer Olaf Wollschläger in the world men's Studios / Buir ( Kerpen ) together. In 2006 the band decided to break new ground in this area and worked with Olaf Wollschläger and the successful alternative producer Dirk Riegner.
On February 9, 2007, Melotron entered the Bundesvision Song Contest for their state Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania with the song "Das Herz" .
In 2010 Melotron played in the opening act for the German synth-pop singer Peter Heppner and his club tour .
In 2014 Melotron is supported on their club tour by the band Minerve , which also comes from Neubrandenburg .
Label
Melotron released their albums and singles with Bloodline, Zoth Ommog and Synthetic Symphony (SPV). They are currently staying at Out of Line , who also have artists such as Ost + Front , Blutengel , Rummelsnuff , Staubkind and Funker Vogt under contract.
