The club tour was the second solo tour of the German synth pop - singer Peter Heppner .

background

The club tour was Heppner's second tour as a solo artist. Like the solo tour that took place last year , it served as a promotion for his debut album solo . The tour lasted several months and took place in two stages. The first section took place in January and February 2010, the second in September and October 2010. The tour took Heppner through twelve German cities and for a concert in Athens in Greece . All clubs have a capacity of around 400 to 600 spectators. In Greece it was Heppner's first concert as a solo artist as well as the second concert of his career ( he already played a solo concert with Wolfsheim in Athens in 2004). The concept behind the club tour was to play concerts in parts of Germany that were underrepresented on the previous solo tour due to organizational issues.

Tour changes

Originally it was planned that the tour should extend over a month from January to February 2010, but towards the end of the tour Heppner had to cancel the last three concerts in Flensburg, Magdeburg and Neubrandenburg due to illness. The catch-up appointments took place six months later in September 2010. In addition to the three catch-up dates, three additional concerts took place. An additional concert in Paderborn was also scheduled for September 16, 2010, but for “operational reasons” all events in the Capitol Paderborn had to be canceled by the organizer . A concert in Moscow scheduled for October 16, 2010 was also canceled.

As with the previous tour, the setlist consisted of 20 songs. During the tour, Heppner presented a new piece with God Smoked . After he sang the song only during this tour, a year later it was part of the soundtrack for GOD SMOKED - A Mindtrip with Howard Marks and again a year later part of the second studio album My Heart of Stone . The setlist consisted partly of songs from the current album and partly of a compilation of older guest contributions and Wolfsheim pieces. With minor exceptions, it was the same setlist as the previous solo tour . Only the order of the songs was changed and the song Mr. Blue was replaced by God Smoked .
