When Peter Heppner acoustics is the fourth solo tour of the German synth pop - singer Peter Heppner .
background
When Peter Heppner Acoustic it was the fourth tour Heppner as a solo artist and consisted of a pure acoustic set. The tour lasted several months and took place in two stages. The first section took place in November and December 2014, the second in September 2015. Originally, only the six concerts that were played in the first tour section were planned. Due to the positive response and the lower expenditure for acoustic concerts, it was decided to play a second tour section in the following year.
The tour took Heppner through 16 German cities and to Vienna in Austria for a concert . In Austria it was Heppner's first concert as a solo artist as well as the second concert of his career, already with his former band project Wolfsheim he played a concert at Planet Music in Vienna on March 22, 2003 as part of the Casting Shadows Tour 2003.
Heppner played the concerts all the time sitting down, while a small table was set up next to him with a glass of red wine on it. With the start of the tour in the Christ Church in Bochum , Heppner played the first acoustic concert of his career. At the end of the first section of the tour in the Mannheim Capitol , a group of fans from Boston ( United States ) traveled to the event . During the tour, Heppner played a total of three concerts in the Dresden film theater Schauburg , the remaining concerts took place in different cities. During the tour he presented three new titles.

Setlist
Unlike the previous tours, this tour consisted not only of the usual 20, but of 21 or 22 songs. During the first part of the tour, Heppner already presented a first new piece with I don't know who I belong to . He always played the song in the second part of the encore and thus rounded off the evening. When I do not know who I belong to is this is a cover of the original of the Ukrainian-American actress Anna Sten that the song in German crime storms of passion sang from the year 1931st Heppner played the song for the first time on November 16, 2014 in the Christ Church in Bochum , since then it has been an integral part of his concerts and always forms the end of the concert. A studio recording has never been released. During the second section of the tour, Heppner presented two more new titles in a medley . These were the pieces Gib mir noch'n Grund and Good Things Break , which he sang for the first time on September 16, 2015 in the Markuskirche in Hanover . Both titles appeared on Heppner's third studio album Confessions & Doubts in 2018. The rest of the setlist consisted partly of songs from his two solo albums, and partly of a compilation of older guest contributions and Wolfsheim pieces.
