Peter Heppner & Band Tour Chronology
- solo tour Club Tour
(2010)

The solo tour was the first solo tour of the German Synthip Pop - singer Peter Heppner .

background

The solo tour was Heppner's first tour as a solo artist. After the completion of his band project Wolfsheim , the tour served as a promotion for his debut album solo . The organizer of the concert series was Meistersinger Concerts . The tour lasted three months from January 15 to April 4, 2009 and took him through 14 cities in two countries. Heppner first appeared in Russia during this tour. At the concerts in Dresden, Hamburg, Hanover, Stuttgart and Leipzig, the Peter Heppner fan club raffled two meet & greet tickets for club members.

Tour changes

The tour was originally supposed to take place at the end of 2008, but the tout start was finally moved to the new year. The new tour schedule for 2009 initially provided for 22 concerts in three countries, ultimately eight concerts were canceled and further concerts were postponed to smaller concert halls.

Various sources assume that the concerts were canceled due to the slow ticket sales. It was speculated that the slow advance sales were related to the ticket prices (approx. 40 euros). In some forums there were rumors that this had to do with the rights to Wolfsheim's songs. Heppner himself justified the various cancellations and changes with the fact that the tour manager had different ideas about this tour than he himself. When the tour was planned by his new tour director, he was still in the studio and was on the road a lot, for this reason he couldn't take care of the organization himself or support the tour management. As a result, everything diverged “a little”. For the subsequent club tour , Heppner switched back to his old tour management.

The set list consisted of 20 songs. During the concert series, Heppner played the song Mr. Blue in the first part of the encore . This is a cover of the British synth-pop duo Yazoo . According to his own statements, this is one of Heppner's favorite pieces from his early years. So far, Heppner has only played the song live during this tour, the piece was never released on a sound carrier.
