Cat Rapes Dog is a Swedish electropunk , EBM and heavy metal band formed in 1984 by Joel Rydström and Magnus Fransson .

history

At the beginning the band released a few albums on cassettes on their own , shortly afterwards also a cassette album and vinyl singles on the Swedish label Front Music Production.

Between 1989 and 1991, Cat Rapes Dog published three studio albums on the Belgian independent label KK Records, which specialized in EBM and industrial projects (such as Front Line Assembly or Vomito Negro ). More albums by Cat Rapes Dog followed later on the Swedish labels Energy Rekords ( Die Krupps , VNV Nation , Front 242 ), Subspace Communications ( Covenant , Apoptygma Berzerk ) and in 2013 on the Canadian label Artoffact Records . In addition, retrospective compilations were published on the above labels.
